EAST COAST MINERALS NL 2002-07-18 ASX-SIGNAL-G HOMEX - Sydney +++++++++++++++++++++++++ MUNNI MUNNI JOINT VENTURE East Coast Minerals NL (66.2/3%) Legend Mining Limited (33.1/3%) With the right to increase to 50% A geological report on structural Controls related to silver mineralisation at Elizabeth Hill based on the May-June structural/alteration mapping and Reverse Circulation drilling programme has been received, together with analytical results. It was concluded that alteration and silver mineralisation is associated with late-stage reactivation of north-south and east-west structures. Drilling of 1,465 metres in 27 shallow holes along the Munni Munni fault and adjacent structures away from the mine area detected widespread carbonate alteration. Three areas with low level anomalous near surface silver were identified, although silver is strongly leached in the near surface environment. Results of lppm Ag or higher are given in Table 1, with all samples analysed by LEACHWELL (400g) cyanide leach with flame AAS finish. It is significant that evaluation of this latest drilling programme has identified a previously unknown shift in the structure of the Munni Munni Fault where silver mineralisation has occurred. Analysis of this alteration has enabled the identification of specific targets that have been recommended for a deeper drilling programme.
